Mehmet Sincar, PhD, began his teaching career as a teacher of electronics at a vocational high school. He taught for ten years. He held his PhD in Educational Administration and Leadership from University of Inonu, Malatya, Turkey in 2009. He is a professor at Gaziantep University.

His research focuses on technology leadership, the maker movement and robotics in early childhood education. He has held over one hundred workshops on robotics in early childhood education for preschool teachers since 2017. He has also taught coding to preschool students.
